Celebration Friday!!!
Friday is the day we observe the 'Celebrations' blog hop founded by VikLit and now ably managed by Lexa Cain and her two delightful co-hosts L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits (Go visit them!)
So... What am I celebrating?
After about two weeks of above 90 degee weather, the heat wave is breaking! Temperatures in the eighties and then the seventies.
I thought New England was supposed to be a cool area...
Chet, small and cute |

Someone commented that it might traumatize him. I suspect that smart, stubborn puppy is about as easy to traumatize as a U.S. Army Humvee...

Hi Diana - yes I'm quite glad it's a little cooler here now - but can quite understand your pleasure at the reduced temperatures. Wonderful Chet - looks so sad though ... but with a hardened resilience under that puppy face ... enjoy him .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the heat. I live in Vermont and it seems like it's been hot and humid for most of the summer.
ReplyDeleteCute puppy! Have fun with him!
Awwww, Chet is adorable. I have an alpha lab that just turned 4. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the heat so much as the humidity. blah!!!
Take Care and have a nice weekend!!
Hilary-
ReplyDeleteI think Chet (short for 'Chester' but so much easier to spit out through clenched teeth as you are trying not to laugh at a naughty puppy) is sad because we limited him to merely eight treats instead of the entire bag!
LoriMacLaughlin -
My mother is a Vermonter (from Arlington) and I was always surprised that such a northern state should be so very hot in July! And with those lovely woods (and mosquitoes) throughout it! But spring and autumn help make up for it. (I love photos of Vermont in the winter!)
Cathrina -
Somehow, I can tolerate a 95 degree day if the humidity is low. Otherwise - Blah!!!
Have a great weekend!
Chet is adorable. It's ninety-eight degrees with high humidity here in Northern Florida, but at least we know we'll never shovel snow!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
How can you talk bad about a puppy with a face like that? Although I also doubt he'd easily traumatized. Labs usually aren't.
ReplyDeleteGlad for some rain here to cool things off and put out the wildfire. We've had a lovely sunny summer with temps in the high 70s, but the house was getting too hot. I know, boo hoo, but the days are 19 hours long, and we don't have air conditioning, so too many sunny days in a row make it hard to sleep. I do hope it clears up in time for the airshow this weekend, though, so we can watch the jets without clouds.
5 months and Chet's a ladies man already? That's quick! I'm glad to hear his teething is getting under control and that your summer temps have gone down. We have about another month and a half of high temps here, but at least they're nowhere near as high as last year. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteA puppy is definitely something to celebrate. Hope he's over the teething now!
ReplyDeleteHello, Diana, from your neighbor in Upstate New York!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think the weather is cooling off. . .today is hot and muggy! I hate to complain--but my body seems to like the cooler temperatures.
Chester "Chet" is so adorable, and it sounds as though you are enjoying him--they grow up so fast. I can hardly believe my two keeshonds (from the same litter) are already 7--UGH!!!
I see that you've been very busy with your writing--sorry it's been a while since I've checked in with you. I can't wait to read more of your novels. Keep up the great work!!
When I read your post about the 90 degree weather, I thought you were in California where I am. lol! We are finally breaking the 90 degree weather and going into the 80s for a few days. I'm looking forward to Fall.
ReplyDeleteI hope your puppy grows out of this stage soon. He's so cute, though!
