I bet kids would find learning history a while lot easier if they got a chance to read it like this. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07735576044552810103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1080048310531382107.post-3524095100266295892014-11-01T10:34:20.872-07:002014-11-01T10:34:20.872-07:00James Hockey's books are indeed beautifully re...James Hockey's books are indeed beautifully researched and written - of times and places a lot of us don't know much about (hence, we can learn something as well as enjoy great historical stories). I, too, shall be featuring James on my blog in mid-November to help him celebrate the launch of "Edith" in e-book format.

Meantime, check out my article on Diana herself at http://devilwinds.blogspot.com/Inge H. That book interested me so much that now I want to read more about figures centuries past and the stories behind them. I'm definitely going to have to look into these. Thanks for the heads up. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1080048310531382107.post-54192391912304583642014-10-31T10:07:59.893-07:002014-10-31T10:07:59.893-07:00I found I was cheering Edith on. He has not promoted himself much, and has been otherwise occupied for the past two years. I think his work is some of the best I have ever read, and that includes giants like Dorothy Dunnett and Edith Pargeter (and Follett, come to that). EDITH isn't out yet in ebook (it is supposed to be available today; when it is, I'll edit this with the link to it)Diana Wilderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074083771067857127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1080048310531382107.post-73637526197781464402014-10-31T07:49:17.787-07:002014-10-31T07:49:17.787-07:00I must be living in a cave. [By the way, I'm an amateur genealogist, too, and I can trace my line to William the Conqueror... that make it more inviting!).

Thanks!Cherdohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00264612202714933480noreply@blogger.com
